AK Dancewear’s next stop on YAGP tour this season was Boston. We headed to Massachusetts early Thursday morning. Once they arrived in Boston, we visited AK Dancewear retailer Competitor’s Closet. It’s always a joy to meet with AK Dancewear retailers at their beautiful store and see their lovely offerings for dancers.
Showcasing AK at YAGP Boston

After that AK team headed to YAGP Boston in Worcester, MA on Friday and Saturday. YAGP Boston was held at The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts. Dancers from all over the country attended this YAGP. It was such a pleasure meeting new friends and seeing some familiar faces. One familiar face was AK Ambassador Quinlin. Quinlin came from Dallas to participate in YAGP Boston. We love it when AK Ambassadors can connect with us in person while we are on tour.
Since AK was at one of our tour stops, we had to bring our Puzzle Piece game. We got to connect and learn more about many of the dancers participating in YAGP Boston and film some super fun interviews. We also were able to give out so many scrunchies, hair ties, and key chains once the dancers completed the puzzle!
We also had so much fun bringing our gorgeous dancewear, mystery bags, and boutique collection. Nothing is better than sporting a new AK leotard after performing and taking master classes. Two dancers even wore their new AK purchases onstage! They wore the AVA in core Black and Casie Hi-Lo skirt in red while performing Kitri’s Friends in the ensemble category
After two great days at YAGP Boston, AK team headed into the city to interview the creator of Lazy Ballerina Club, Goldie Jane. They had a blast learning more about Goldie and hearing her take on how to prioritize being yourself and a human first while being in the ballet world.
YAGP Boston was such a success. We loved growing our AK Community and supporting the dancers who participated in this YAGP regional. We are eager to be back on the road for our next tour destination. Stay tuned for more exciting AK on Tour stops!
