On this special day — 2.2.22, a date we call World Tutu Day, we’re excited to introduce something truly meaningful from AK Dancewear: Dolly, our very first mascot.
Dolly isn’t just a cute dancing dog. She represents kindness, perseverance, and inclusion — values that shine brightly in the dance world and beyond. The inspiration came from AK Dancewear’s founder, Alina Khoo, who wanted to create something close to her heart while using her brand to raise awareness for autism and neurodiversity.
Working with her childhood friend Toshio Chan, a talented artist, Dolly was brought to life — a dancer who celebrates differences and encourages everyone to embrace who they are.
To mark Dolly’s debut, AK Dancewear partnered with ambassador and artist Miko Fogarty for a special Instagram Live on launch day. We also hosted a community giveaway and pledged that a portion of all Dolly product proceeds would go directly to the Autism Society of America.

From the Dolly’s Zipper Canvas Tote Bag to her signature keychain, each piece reminds us that dance is for everyone — no matter their ability, background, or challenges.
Dolly’s story continues through our community page, now known as @motleyville.ak, where we share messages of neurodiversity, inclusion, and confidence for dancers everywhere.
This launch is just the beginning of AK Dancewear’s ongoing mission to use fashion, creativity, and compassion to support every dancer’s journey — because at AK, every dancer belongs.
